This picture is okay but it's not at all what I was looking for. Takes practice and patience to use even highly automated image generators.

I might have done better to see if I could find existing art like what I wanted and use that as a starting image.

I used pre-made modifiers and should have edited them more carefully.

SpaceX stacks Starship 24 on Booster 7

SpaceX has chosen a needlessly confusing name for it's big two stage rocket: The whole thing is called Starship, and the second stage alone is also called Starship. The bigger bottom part that does the heavy lifting of getting off Earth and into space, is called the Booster.

SpaceX is great at making rockets, but could have used some help in the naming department.

Given that "Starship" will mean "the smaller but still huge second stage, the part where the passenger and cargo go" for the time being, being able to stack a huge thing like a Starship on a Booster, align them precisely, and attach them together perfectly is quite an accomplishment.

I'm pleased to see this progress toward exploring Mars, the Moon, and beyond taking place.

SPACE SHIP OF 2038

From "Amazing Stories," Volume 1, Number 12, December 1938

SPACE SHIP OF 2038

"Great engineering skill and ingenuity will be necessary to produce a ship capable of flying to other worlds. The space ship shown here is based on theoretical extensions of known fact."

"Man, in his science, has begun to realize that he can travel to other planets. Scientists have set their minds to the problems that confront space travel, seeking a means to overcome them. True, they are many and complex, but not unsurmountable. First, and most important, is the matter of escaping the colossal pull of Earth's gravity. Science tells us it would be necessary for a body to attain an initial speed of 7 miles per second in order to completely escape the influence of the Earth. But for that we need a tremendous amount of power - more power than any fuel we know today can give us. Out in space, too, there are problems. How will the human body react to gravity-less existence? How will we produce and maintain healthy Earth conditions out in space - atmosphere, pressure, equilibrium, protection against harmful rays, etc.? In designing this imaginary vessel, we have taken all this into consideration, and it seems very likely that space travel, when it comes, will be accomplished by ships such as this."

It's amazing how computer generated text and art is improving. I told the GPT-3 text generator to make text prompts for the ten most shared Nightcafe Studio generated images, and used one of them to make this image with Nightcafe.
